General Objectives
1. To have fun
2. Improve communications within the club
3. Improve communications with our community (PR)
4. Grow our membership emphasizing diversity
5. Reinstitute Rotary traditions and ritual
6. Require 100% participation by membership
7. Revise bylaws and implement new leadership plan including setting
long range goals.
Membership
1.
Increase membership by net five
2. Involve spouses in new member outreach
3. Segment process: guest book, recruiting, indoctrination, assigning
mentor and job assignment
4. Retention: training membership in proper club procedures
Programs
1.
Diversify subjects monthly: local community, entertainment, educational,
member related.
2. Speakers: Confirm, provide AV needs, introduce and send thank you
with copy of newsletter write up.
3. Monthly Expose Yourself and semi annual Club Assembly meetings
4. Maintain the calendar on the web site
Communications
1.
Fully staffed with backup assistance: newsletter, website, PR committees
2. Train membership regarding internal communications: email, calendar,
downloading and forwarding documents, etc
3. News stories with pictures twice a month; feature story once a
month.
4. Encourage all members and spouses to be public relations ambassadors
to outside organizations.
Club
Service
1.
Meeting support (all with backup assistants): outdoor signage, banners,
display of club exchange flags, audio visual equipment, speaker books,
etc.
2. Word of the day/greeter, badges, name tags, guest names for membership
committee
3. Birthday and anniversaries, raffle and sergeant of arms, historian
4. All club social events: Christmas party, Tgitlfotm, Reno train
trip, picnic, etc.
Community
Service
1.
Objective is to have every member active on at least one local, hands-on
project.
2. Youth activities and programs: Camps Venture and Royal, 4 Way Speech,
Dictionaries, Boy Scouts, RYLA, etc.
3. Local active programs: Interfaith housing; Rootbeer/soccer sales;
¾ Century Club; Art & Wine Festival; Food Bank; Infant
Deaf; Bart Mural; Blue Star Moms, etc.
4. Local programs under consideration: Petanque court; Child Abuse
prevention; Casa Vincenta; Lindsey Wildlife Museum; Deerhill Ranch,
etc.
International
Service
1.
Providing for both Inbound and outbound exchange students
2. Building and supporting a strong interact club
3. Sponsoring and publicizing a Berkeley Peace Fellow
4. Supporting and publicizing Give Hope-Give a Hand
Rotary
International Foundation
1.
Objective of 100% double sustainer Paul Harris contributors
2. Support and educate member about Foundation projects: Polio+; Water,
Rotoplast, etc.
3. Participate in Foundation activities: GSE, Ambassadorial Scholars,
Rotary Friends, grants, etc.
4. Contact past Rotary participants who live in area for possible
programs and membership in our club.
